The FA Respect Programme

Support the child, not the score.

Parents & carers

Stay behind the designated spectator line. Encourage every player — ours and theirs. No coaching from the touchline, and no comments to the referee.

Players

Play fair, play to the whistle, shake hands at full time. Speak to the referee through the captain only. Win humbly, lose with grace.

Coaches

Fair minutes for every child. Praise effort, not just outcome. Set the standard the players and parents follow.

Zero tolerance of abuse toward match officials, players, coaches or spectators. Concerns go directly to the Club Welfare Officer.
